Akhnoor, Oct 08 (KNO): The two-day 204th Raksha Pension Samadhan Aayojan concluded in Akhnoor on Thursday, providing pension and welfare assistance to veterans, Veer Naris and dependents from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
In a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said the 204th Raksha Pension Samadhan Aayojan (RPSA) concluded at Sangha Auditorium, Tanda, Akhnoor, on October 8, providing a single-window platform for veterans, Veer Naris and dependents of ex-servicemen from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh to seek resolution of pension-related issues and access welfare services.
He said the two-day event, held on October 7 and 8, was inaugurated by the GOC, White Knight Corps.
“A total of 582 beneficiaries registered, while 432 beneficiaries participated in the Aayojan, including 150 participants through 74 video conference stations. A total of 321 pension-related grievances were registered, of which 54 were resolved on the spot through coordinated efforts of the PCDA and Records Offices.”
The spokesperson said the remaining cases were taken up with the concerned authorities for detailed examination and time-bound resolution. The Aayojan also facilitated the processing of eligible pensionary benefits, grants and arrears, besides providing direct interaction with pension authorities, Records Offices, banks and other concerned agencies.
A dedicated medical camp supported by 13 doctors, including specialists in gynaecology and orthopaedics, provided medical consultations to participating veterans. Awareness sessions covered pension entitlements, welfare schemes, digital pension services, healthcare, resettlement and employment opportunities.
He said the 204th RPSA strengthened direct engagement between the veteran community and concerned authorities, facilitated access to pension and welfare services, and reinforced the enduring bond between the Defence Forces and those who have served the Nation—(KNO)
